Last week I took a quick trip on the LAMTA Expo Line from Culver City. It’s almost luxurious by transit standards – elevated or completely separated from traffic, quick, smooth, and quiet. When this opens to Santa Monica it will be a big hit.

Transit operators who today run very SLOW light rail would do well to check it out and learn from this design. (Of course the old Red Car right of way was an enormous help.)
