Muni Riders: Boycott These Establishments
Once again the anti-transit NIMBY David Heller is spreading lies about Geary Bus Rapid Transit, which would speed up everyone’s ride on the 38 and 38L lines, improving service for over 50,000 riders per day. The voters decided in 2003 to fund this project, and instead of doing something nice for the city, this man has decided to dedicate his life to slowing down every one of our rides. (I am a frequent Geary rider as well as an advocate for mass transit!)
So… why would you ever go to any store that shows up on this list? Please consider alternatives to all of these places. Surely none of them is worth another 10-15 minutes PER TRIP in Geary traffic. (List is directly from the opponents’ website.)

If you’re in the Richmond, why not ask your local merchant NOT on this list why they support a group that is anti-transit? These groups include:
- The Geary Blvd. Merchants Association
- Planning Association for the Richmond
Also, if you live in any of these neighborhoods, please ask your local merchants why their associations are attacking transit riders across town:
- The West Portal Merchants Association
- Inner Sunset Merchants Association
- The Noe Valley Merchants Association
Seriously, Noe Valley, Inner Sunset and West Portal? You already have light rail. Why stop your fellow San Franciscans from getting better service?
Again, transit riders – we have plenty of spending power. Let’s use it where we are welcome.
